Heart, Soul and Funnybone - what a strange name for a website! I have been meaning to set up this site for ages to share what I write. Okay, I'm never going to be Poet Laureate but what I write
comes from my heart and soul (and, okay, sometimes my funnybone!)
This site is a work in progress and will be added to as and when I have time to copy in my work to date or when I get
round to writing new stuff (or, in reality, when I get round to transferring new stuff from random notebooks.)
When I tried to find the funnybone stuff I realised I hadn't actually got
it saved anywhere - I hoped I could find the hard copy or I'd have had to start again. I then had a brainwave and found all my previous work in the back of a drawer. Thank goodness. But then I realised I needed more than three sections so have now added
them! I have finished (for now) the Heart, Soul and Funnybone sections (I expect I'll add more to them later though) but I am still working on the rest. I have the work organised ready to copy in but it's finding the time to do it all. I still have
a lot of work in note form that needs typing up too.
It was quite an experience reading through some of my old work that I hadn't looked at for ages. Some of it made me cry, some of
it made me laugh and some did both at the same time! There is a copy of a letter I wrote to my mum back in 1992 that had me in floods.
Like I said, I'm never going to
be Poet Laureate but I hope some of my poems make you cry too - in a good way! And if you have problems with any spelling or punctuation put it down to poetic license and get over it!
